Do news, advancements and innovations in the field of robotics make you excited? Curious? Have you ever dreamt of making your own robot?
If you answered „yes”, then our Course is definitely for you! Starting from the simplest gears, you will get to know the process and tools used to design robots and learn how they are applied in real life. By the end of our Course, you will design a robot of your own and build its mechanisms. Who knows – maybe these skills will lead to your future career?
You will spend 8 days in our beautiful green city – Kaunas, surrounded by welcoming organisers and students from all over Europe. This is your chance to experience Lithuanian traditions and taste our food, exchange ideas, feel the BEST spirit and visit the G-spot of Europe!

Throughout the whole year BEST organises different activities where students of technology get the chance to complement their fields of study, discuss educational matters, learn and take their first steps into an international career, increase their international experience, set up contacts, improve their English level and have fun. Each BEST event is attended by 20-30 engineering and technology students like you, who have something in common: they want to live a unique experience, different from day-to-day school life!

This course will introduce you to robotics starting from the basic concepts. Lectures with topics ranging from robot design to their applications, challenge-based learning tasks and workshops will provide you theoretical knowledge and hands-on robotics skills. In the end of the course, you will design your own robot, physically implement some of its mechanisms and present it as your final project.
Registration happens through BEST website. You should create a new account there and fill the application form to our event, Gears and Cheers: Your Robotics Career Starts Here. Once you do that – sit back and relax waiting for the results.
We will select participants based on their motivation and interest in the topic, so make sure to tell us everything about how awesome you are!

Maximum participation fee is 64 euros (the price you pay depends on your country category, which can be found here).
There are no knowledge requirements and your motivation is what matters the most.
The whole event will happen live in Kaunas, but the communication prior and during the event will happen via WhatsApp.
Yes! Participants will receive a certificate with details on what lectures you attended and working hours spent.

Organisers
BEST Kaunas, the organisers for this event, is a part of international organization Board of European Students of Technology and was established in 2004. Ever since then BEST Kaunas has organized events that inspire and develop students from all across Europe.
Event is organised in collaboration with Kaunas University of Technology and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design. Researchers of the Faculty effectively implement projects of international and national research programs, actively cooperate with industry and business, public sector and social partners, successfully conduct outsourced research for Lithuanian and foreign countries, and intensively publicize and commercialize research results.
